The Trevi Fountain is about 1.2 km away (15-minute walk); the Colosseum and Roman Forum about 1.6 km (20-25 minute walk).

How far is Hotel Lirico from Rome's main landmarks?

On foot from the hotel you can reach the Trevi Fountain (about 1.2 km, 15 minutes), the Spanish Steps (about 1.5 km, 18-20 minutes), and the Colosseum and Roman Forum complex (about 1.6 km, 20-25 minute walk, or two Metro Line A stops to Termini plus a change to Colosseo). The Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, home to Michelangelo's Moses, is about 500 meters away.

How to reach Hotel Lirico

By car, from the motorways

From the Grande Raccordo Anulare (G.R.A.), take the Tangenziale Est exit toward San Giovanni. Continue along Via Merulana to Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, then take Via Torino to the intersection with Via del Viminale: the hotel is on the left, next to the Opera House (Via del Viminale 31).

From Fiumicino Airport

The Leonardo Express train connects Fiumicino to Rome Termini with no intermediate stops, in about 32 minutes; from Termini, the hotel is 600 meters away, a 5-8 minute walk following the directions below.

From Ciampino Airport

A direct shuttle bus connects Ciampino to Rome Termini; alternatively, Hotel Lirico can arrange a private transfer service to/from the airport on request.

From Termini Station

Cross Piazza dei Cinquecento keeping to the left. Once you reach Palazzo Massimo, home to the National Roman Museum, turn left onto Via del Viminale and continue for about 200 meters to the Opera House: Hotel Lirico is at number 31, on the corner with Via Napoli.

From the Port of Civitavecchia

A train service connects Civitavecchia port directly to Rome Termini; from there, follow the directions above. Hotel Lirico can also arrange a private transfer to/from the port on request.

Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL)

Hotel Lirico is within Rome's historic-center ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone).
Access restricted to unauthorized vehicles:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM–6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 2:00 PM–6:00 PM | Public holidays: no restriction
