The summer program of Caracalla Festival 2023
Opera, dance, cinema, theatre, great symphonic music, jazz and pop. The billboard summer of the Rome Opera becomes a festival: the Caracalla Festival 2023, with 50 evenings from May 30 to August 10. The offer expands, but the prices also increase spaces: the usual 4,500-seat arena, the Teatro Grande behind the old ones
Baths, the Teatro del Portico is added, in the area of the so-called temple of Jupiter,
suitable for welcoming new and different genres.
Many great artists were involved: Myung-Whun Chung for the symphony; the directors Damiano Michieletto and Lorenzo Mariani for the opera; Roberto Bolle and Jacopo Tissi for dance, the Corps de Ballet of the Capitoline Foundation directed by Eleonora Abbagnato;
Moni Ovadia for the theater; Stefano Di Battista, Giovanni and Matteo Cutello for jazz; between the pop artists Antonello Venditti and Francesco De Gregori, Fiorella Mannoia with Danilo Rea, Andrea Bocelli and, for the first time a Caracalla, Zucchero, the Negramaros and Massimo Ranieri.
